Indianapolis, IN, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – This spring, Redemption, a boutique women’s clothing store located in downtown Broad Ripple Village, will premiere a special exhibition, “Miracle Art Foundation Art & Fashion Preview Event”, a new non-profit art charity that exhibits up-and-coming artists and provides art scholarship opportunities to those in need. The event scheduled for May 21st from 6 to 9 pm, themed around art, fashion, and beauty, is in conjunction with the upcoming release of Sex and the City (SATC) 2 opening the following Friday. This free event will award raffled SATC themed door prizes such as fashion art, dinner and a movie, a day at the salon, dog grooming services, and more. Those that visit the store throughout the month of May have an opportunity to enter the raffle. Proceeds of the raffle will benefit Miracle Art Foundation (MAF) and a portion of all sales this evening will go to the MAF.

Redemption is located at 826 East Westfield Boulevard in Broad Ripple
This exhibition showcases never-before-exhibited fashion art, photography and collages from artists Ayesha Baig, Tanveer Shah and Samuel E. Vázquez. Ayesha Baig explores the beauty of fashion with unique pastels on leather and hand painted scarves. Baig received both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Home Economics with concentrations in Related Arts and Textiles from the University of Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan. Tanveer Shah, a fashion and cityscape photographer originally from Carmel, Indiana, captures models and fashion in the hussel and bussel of New York City. Shah is a candidate for his Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island. Samuel E. Vázquez, a former New York City graffiti artist, explores contemporary subjects through the use of photography, printed objects, found, manipulated and hand-drawn typography and graphic elements. Vázquez holds a degree in Art and Advertising Design from New York City College of Technology. Vázquez is currently finishing his Bachelor of Fine Arts at Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The exhibition clearly traces one artist’s fascination with beauty while the other artists depicts the obsession with fashion in the big city. Seen all together, the photographs comprise a collection of art admired by the same audience as those obsessed with the movie Sex and the City. “We’re delighted to put together an event that brings together the community, celebrates the arts, and raises funds for professional art programs needed so desperately”, stated Angela Khan, Executive Director of the MAF.
Baig, Shah and Vázquez will feature many pieces available for sale with proceeds benefiting the MAF. The event also includes raffle winners who will be announced every half hour and includes an opportunity to mingle amongst friends, shop, and sip SATC themed cosmopolitans. Raffle sponsors include Hair That Rocks, Redemption, Flatwater Restaurant on the Canal, French Pharmacie, H2O Sushi, Pet Guardian, Sara Morris Photography, The Art Press, and more.
